Options for Stainless Steel Linen Chute

The linen chute intake / loading doors can be programmatically controlled by electrical interlocking system, which only allows one door to open and remaining doors can not be opened and therefore eliminates the danger to the operator / cleaner loading the soiled linen at lower floor if there is no this system in place. And it also prevents contamination risks of the soiled linen from other floor.

The system has a control panel each floor with the linen loading door. A main control box is located near the discharge, which shows status of the system, such as normal or faulty at which floor, etc., which can be connected to the building control system.

Manual control is located at the main control boxed to shut all doors for maintenance purpose.

In case of power failure or system breakdown, all the doors can be operated as normal access doors.

The fire protection / alarm system of building / premises can be optionally linked to the interlock system then the former signal would trigger the system to shut all the doors in case of fire as precaution measure.

Sprinkler heads can be provided at alternate floors as an extra safety measures.

Earth bonding system provides not more than 10 Ohms resistance between the linen chute and building earthing system.

Sound damping / insulation can be chosen by factory applied coating for noise reduction.

Other options are fire stop at each floor, smoke detector, heat detector, key alike or master key for mechanical locks.
